COVID-19 has forced the largest continental team competitions to postpone their championships. UEFA EURO 2020 will take place from June 11 to July 11, 2021 and Copa America 2021 will be played from June 12 to July 12, 2021.
Both competitions will be played at the same time and our soccer API solutions will become even more important. No one wants to miss any detail about the two leading continental tournaments, and that’s why our UEFA EURO 2020 API and Copa America 2021 API is available now.
UEFA EURO 2020 —the biggest football celebration in 60 years
In the continent that gave birth to soccer, UEFA EURO 2020 will be a party celebrated across Europe to commemorate 60 years since the inaugural tournament and, for the second time in history, will feature 24 teams.
The tournament will start on June 11 in Rome. The UEFA EURO 2020 final (July 11) will be played at Wembley Stadium, the home of the England National Team. The venue, known as the ‘House of Football’, will also host the tournament’s semifinals.

Copa America 2021 —the oldest national team’s tournament
This month, Copa America is celebrating its 104th anniversary, which makes it the oldest competition between national teams in the world. Copa America 2021 will be hosted by Argentina and Colombia (La Plata, Mendoza, Córdoba, Santiago del Estero and Buenos Aires in Argentina; and Medellín, Cali, Bogotá y Barranquilla in Colombia).
It’s the second time that CONMEBOL has postponed the Copa America; the first time was in 1918. This event was to be held in 1918 in Brazil, however a Spanish flu that hit the city of Rio de Janeiro in that year caused the event to be postponed to 1919.
Copa America 2021 will be held in two areas of South America to bring the matches closer to their fans. In the group phase, twelve participating teams will be divided into two groups of six teams each. Initially there were two invited teams, Australia and Qatar, but it hasn’t yet been confirmed that they can participate in next year’s competition.
