  • What is UEFA Champions League?

Champions League (UEFA Champions League) is the most prestigious male football competition in Europe, it is played annually and teams playing in it are the top-division European clubs.

  • How does it work?

Each European national league is represented by a maximum of four clubs. However, the majority of the European leagues are only represented by one, decided by the UEFA’s association ranking. Entering the competition is based on the club’s domestic finish in the previous year league and on the position of its country on the UEFA ranking.

The start of the UEFA Champions League 2018-19 is 18th of September 2018 and the end is on 1st of June 2019 at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid- the stadium that usually hosts Atlético de Madrid matches. A total of 32 European different teams will compete to win the competition.
Last year, the club who took home the cup was Real Madrid, for the 3rd year in a row. Real Madrid is also the team which has most of the Champions League victories (13) followed by AC Milan (7), Bayern München (5) and FC Barcelona (5).
